Who i am

If you’re about to hand your wedding, and a serious budget, to someone you’ve never met on the other side of an ocean, you should know who that person is. Here’s the short version.

I was born in Milan, and I’ve lived on the hills above Lake Maggiore for more than ten years.

the u.s. came first

The United States showed up in my life long before weddings did. My father used to travel there for work and started taking me along when I was little, so I grew up going back and forth without thinking much about it. Somewhere in those years I learned how Americans talk, how they say exactly what they want and expect it to happen on the day they said it would.

The summer I turned sixteen, my Dad announced yet another trip, and I was furious, because a whole summer in America meant a whole summer away from my boyfriend, who was of course the love of my life, as every love is at sixteen. I remember thinking, very clearly: “who cares about America?”.

Truth is, the boyfriend lasted until roughly the following spring. America stayed, and today it’s at the center of my work. I’d love to tell you I saw that coming, but really my father spent all those trips training me to think like an American, and neither of us noticed.

A slightly unusual education

I studied economics, tourism management, photography in New York and somatic psychology. They have nothing to do with one another, and yet I use all four almost every week, usually in the same meeting.

Photography taught me to walk into a villa and check first where the sun goes down, and where your guests will be standing when it does. From psychology I kept the habit of listening more than I talk when we first meet, because what a couple mentions almost by accident is usually where the wedding starts to take shape.

My standard

Spend enough time between two countries and you end up loving both, and knowing exactly where each one drives the other crazy. Italy gives me beauty to work with every day, and I’ve made my peace with the fact that a deadline here is often more of a suggestion. America taught me how reassuring it is when a date on the calendar means exactly that date.

Since my father had done half the job already, when I decided to plan destination weddings for American couples I went to the United States for my professional training. Then I took a leap of faith and opened my company there too. Running an American company while living in Italy certainly makes my life more complicated, and I’d rather carry that myself than ask you to trust a system you don’t know. This way you work with rules you already understand, and with a standard you can hold me to.

Life, with its good parts and a few less good ones, has taught me which things deserve a sleepless night, and the color of the napkins has never been one of them. So we give the big decisions the care they need and let the small ones stay small, and when Italy gives us a reason to laugh, we laugh. The months of planning are part of your wedding too, and you should get to enjoy them.

Clear direction.

Transparent numbers.

Responsiveness.

Proper perspective.

That’s the standard, and it’s non-negotiable.

I keep my calendar small on purpose. The high level of personal attention is the whole point of Valentina Bianchi Wedding Studio.

I take care of people, and a wedding is the occasion.

what comes next?

Now that you know a little more about where I come from and why I understand both sides so well, I’d like to hear your side of the story.

It starts with a short note about your plans. Send me an email (I read every inquiry myself), and when a project feels like a fit, I invite you to a private conversation about the weekend you have in mind and what it would take in Italy.

If it goes well, you can close every tab you have open on “how to find a wedding planner in Italy“.

lake maggiore, from the inside

I know the venue directors and artisans here personally, and that changes what's possible and how negotiations go.

One plan for the whole weekend

Every event lives in one timeline, so the days connect and nobody wonders where to be next.

Elsewhere in Italy, when it fits

When a project belongs in another region and feels like the right fit, I plan it with partners I trust and stay your single point of contact.

working with me means...

You have one point of contact.

I stay with you through the entire planning and every day of your celebration. Every event is designed around who you are and the Italian region you have chosen, with nothing repeated from one wedding to the next.

You get access to photographers, Michelin-level caterers, floral designers, artists, and entertainment specialists I know and trust, along with a detailed run of show for every event.

You see every cost before you commit to it.
